PHILADELPHIA, July 26 /PRNewswire/ -- ������Ƶ Cork & Seal Company, Inc. (NYSE: CCK; Paris Bourse) announced today that Hans J. Loliger, 58, Vice Chairman of Winter Group, Basel, Switzerland, a leading supplier of covering materials to the luxury packaging industry, has been elected to the Company's Board of Directors. The Board now has 10 members.

Until the end of 2000, Mr. Loliger was President and Chief Executive Officer of SICPA Group in Lausanne, Switzerland, the global leader in the security printing inks business and a major supplier of specialty inks to the packaging industry with operations in 38 countries on all continents. He has extensive management experience in Europe, the U.S. and in Asia. He is also a Director of AMTICO International located in Paris, France.

Mr. Loliger holds a degree from the Basel School of Commerce.
